The Founder

Hi, I’m Brandon Herring, the founder of Adaptive Physical Fitness.


For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for helping people reach their full potential. With over 15 years in the fitness industry, I’ve seen firsthand how fitness can change lives—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. My journey started in athletics, playing college baseball, but along the way I also faced challenges—having both back surgery and Tommy John surgery. Those experiences taught me the importance of functional fitness—training the body to move better, stay strong, and handle the demands of everyday life safely. That’s what I now focus on teaching: how to improve not just in the gym, but in daily living. Through my years as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach I have learned the importance of balance, and the demand that sports, at any level, put upon the body.


Outside of work, I’m lucky to have the love and support of my beautiful wife, Jill, and our three amazing kids: Ivy, Joslyn, and Harvey. They are my greatest motivation and the reason I push to build a community where everyone feels supported, valued, and capable of more than they thought possible.


At Adaptive Physical Fitness, my mission is simple: to use functional, adaptive fitness to help people of all abilities get stronger, move better, and live fuller lives.
